CCJ IVA or Bankruptcy
We are happy to accept Tenants who have CCJ’s, IVA or Bankruptcy and each Tenant will be assessed based on their specific circumstances.
1 - Credit Report
Should you have a CCJ / IVA or Bankruptcy we will require a copy of your credit report
A great way of downloading your credit report for FREE is by going to MoneySavingExperts Credit Club site and signing up there. You can then download your full report which will show all the necessary details, absolutely FREE. You won’t need to sign up for a free trial or enter any card details.
We can also accept credit reports from: Experian or Equifax
2 - CCJ Documentation
The information we would require is:
- How many CCJ’s have you had?
- What were they for?
- How much was each CCJ for?
- Are they still active or satisfied?
We will require one of the following documents confirming the above information:
- The Demand Letter
- Settlement Letter
- Confirmation of a Payment Plan
- County Court Judgement Letter
- Narrative (Direct from the court - check your credit report to see which court your CCJ is listed with)
Please Note: During the application process you may be asked to provide additional information or documentation in relation to your CCJ
3 - IVA Documentation
We are happy to accept Tenants who have an IVA, and is normally not a problem if you are able to provide the following documents:
- IVA Agreement: A copy of the agreed document which outlines the details of the IVA, for example, how much it is for, the creditors involved in the IVA, the duration and agreed monthly payments
Last 3 months Bank Statements showing the agreed IVA payments being made
4 - Bankruptcy
We are happy to accept Tenants who have been declared bankrupt, each Tenant will be assessed based on their Specific circumstances, you would need to provide the following document:
- A Certificate or Letter of Discharge
